About SCMA

Strengthening Motorcoach Travel Across the South Central Region

The South Central Motorcoach Association (SCMA) supports and advances the motorcoach industry across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, promoting professionalism, safety, and the positive image of motorcoach travel throughout the region.

SCMA’s roots trace back to 2003, when industry leaders recognized the need for a unified voice. On May 28, 2003, approximately 35 industry professionals gathered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, representing motorcoach operators, suppliers, and industry partners. Building on earlier discussions in New Orleans, the group formally established the Louisiana Motorcoach Association, electing a board of directors, adopting bylaws and a code of ethics, and creating membership guidelines.

As the association grew, it expanded beyond Louisiana to serve a broader regional network. Today, SCMA represents operators across four states, working together to strengthen the industry and support tourism throughout the South Central United States.
